The newly established school of Sustainability and Technology takes an integrative approach to social challenges from a social, technological, and economic perspective.
It combines topics from the social sciences (people) with the classic subjects of industrial engineering (technology and business) to provide future specialists and managers with the skills and knowledge they need to shape the present and future world proactively and soundly.

People. Technology. Future.
“The degree programs and applied research offered by the new NXT faculty are the university's response to the challenges of our time, which is characterized by increasing interconnectedness between different areas of society, based on the triad of people, technology, and the future. This provides students with the ideal preparation for specialist and management careers of the future,” emphasizes Prof. Dr. Hendrik Brumme, President of Reutlingen University.

Studying in a high-quality environment
Ensuring high-quality teaching is a top priority at NXT. This is guaranteed by practical, future-oriented, and holistic study and teaching programs. This understanding of quality is lived out by all members of the NXT faculty. The core objective of quality management and quality culture is the systematic improvement of studies and teaching and thus the further development of the entire faculty.

NXT Student council
The NXT student council is the perfect opportunity for our students to get to know other students during their studies, contribute ideas, and actively shape campus life. The focus is on communication, collaboration, and personal development. In the Community, Events, and Marketing working groups, projects are implemented, events are organized, and it is demonstrated that campus life is not just about lectures.
Things get particularly lively on Innovation Tuesday: every Tuesday from 7 p.m. at Werk150, our students meet to network, work on projects, or get creative.
