The Social Work degree program required over four years of extensive cooperation talks and agreements at the state, regional, and local levels before it could be launched in 2018. Regional involvement in the development of the program was one of the prerequisites for the site selection. Without regional cooperation partners who also provide financial support, the program could not have been established. The program would not have been realized without the many committed partners.
Since the development of the program at the Reutlingen location, a support group consisting of representatives from diaconal institutions, the City of Reutlingen, the district, foundations, politics, and the university has been a structural element of the satellite campus. This support group continuously accompanies the establishment and development of the program and contributes relevant practical topics to its advancement.
